Diwali celebration

Diwali, popularly known as the ‘Festival of lights’, is one of the most significant festivals celebrated with great pomp and show across the country. This festival symbolises the victory of inner light over spiritual darkness. To commemorate this occasion, a Diwali celebration was organised by Paragon Convent School, Sector 24, Chandigarh on 26th October, 2024. The students of classes I and II participated in the ‘Diya Decoration Competition’ which brought out their artistic talents and festive spirit. The highlight of the day was the ‘Inter House Dance Competition’ for the students of classes V-VIII, where each House represented a different state of India. Each performance was a colourful and vibrant tribute to our country’s rich heritage. The students of class IV also staged a role-play depicting Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after his exile. Our Chairman sir, Mr. Sahibjeet Singh Sandhu and Principal ma’am, Mrs. Rajni Dutta graced the event with their presence. Before the culmination of the event, our Chairman sir and Principal ma’am applauded the students for their enthusiasm and motivated them to celebrate the festival in an eco-friendly way.
